Day 47 Run. Run. As fast as you can!!

It's Friday.  My fun day with JJ working at Rainbow Lane.

We made one giant class sized gingerbread man and put it in the "oven" to cook. Went to get him out for snack and .....GASP!!!  He was GONE!!!!  All that was left was a note...

"Run, run as fast as you can.
You can't catch me. I'm the gingerbread man!"

And so insanity ensued and kids were searching the school...everywhere for the escaped gingerbread man. Because there are two classes there were two gingerbread men...JJ actually found his class'....it was in the reading tub....hiding under pillows!! They thought it was hysterical!  Then the other one was found...escaping the school...at the front door!!!  What fun!!!

Genesis 39:13

Day 46 Homemade Pizza Creations

Its quick.  I'm tired.  We made our own creations of pizza tonight...some with sauce, some with no sauce, some with extra sauce by the spoonful!!   But it was cheaper, cleaner and faster than what we call "Crazz-ios!!"  I still had to bus my own table though! :)

Habakkuk 2:18 NIV

"Of what value is an idol, since a man has carved it? Or an image that teaches lies? For he who makes it trusts in his own creation; he makes idols that cannot speak.

Day 45 Dirt and Meme

They have been hauling in dirt and dirt at the new house being built next door.  of course for the next year (summer at least) we will be entertained with trucks and all sorts of construction action. JJ thinks its better than anything ever!!!

Meme stayed with the kids a couple of hours yesterday and they got to watch a semi haul in dirt and who knows what else was there....skid steer, bulldozer, backhoe etc.

Thanks mom!! Love you lots and lots and lots and lots and lots! LYLLLLLLLLL!  YSD

Day 36 "Its a beautiful to..."

....PLAY IN THE MUD!!!!"  Those are the words of ....you know who...JJ Reed!!!!  He's said several times that "its a beautiful day.."  ....getting out of the car to go into church.....at the park when we were walking and he was riding his bike...and then...in the mud.  The snow in the sandbox has melted and there is a "moat" around the box.  They are playing so well together....they are dirty, wet, and muddy...but most of all...happy!! :)

Yes, JJ and Hannalee...it IS a beautiful day....for mud and  your sweet smiles!!!

Psalm 40:2  "He lifted me out of the ditch, pulled me from deep mud.  He stood me up on a solid rock to make sure I wouldn't slip."  (Message translation! :)

Day 35 I'll do it!

Day 35....He's already been out in the FRIGID windchill temps once today....and that was before noon!! He played about 20 minutes then I just made him come in.

Then after eating lunch, I said I had to get ready for my Spanish lesson that I teach.  I now have 10 kids that come on Thursdays.  We  gather around my kitchen table, sing songs, and learn new vocabulary words.  So JJ thought he needed to play in the snow again...NO I had said....for the millioninth time I'm sure! :)  But then he thought about it hard enough..."well I better scrape the front porch for the Spanish kids."  He figured out a way to be helpful and to play in the snow! I love that kid!! Clever, smart, and resourceful...all wrapped up in one cool kid!! :)

(Sister is at the front door yelling at him to keep ringing the door bell!!!)

Day 33 The Zero Truck

Happy Birthday to GREAT Sally.....check your mail tomorrow!! :)  Hope you had a great day!!

So....we've tuned in to the Super Bowl....at the beginning of the 4th quarter nevertheless!!!  There was a Ford Tough truck commercial on...the one with Toby Keith....from Oklahoma...  you know how we "wave" with one finger while we driving, right?  Real casual like, hand on the wheel, raise index finger only and wave.  The commercial was saying something about then Ford and Oklahoma being #1...that's why we wave that way.  I was telling Dusty all of this towards the end of the commercial.   Then, JJ said, "ya...or you can drive a zero truck!  He held up a zero with his fingers.... then said, "ya....no wheels...no steering wheel...its a zero truck!!"  We cracked up!!! So, here's his ZERO!

Day 32 Bead for Life

Okay ladies......get your checkbooks out!!! :)  At Christmas I "won" a necklace and bracelet at our family Dirty Santa Gift Exchange. My mother in law had opened the present first, but I stole it from her.  And now...I want you ALL to spread the word about these amazing beads that are from AMAZING women!!!   These beads are rolled by hand from recycled paper and made into amazing bracelets and necklaces from women in EXTREME POVERTY in Uganda. The full story is on their website, but you can host a "bead party" and that's what one of my friends did!! Thanks Alicia!! YOU ROCK & are MY HERO!!!

If you live in Elk City, PUH-LEEZE ask me how you can get these beads now!!!  And if you don't live in Elk, you'll need to have your own party.  You don't earn a dime; you don't get a dollar; and there is no discount.  You get the shear joy of selling these beads for the women in Uganda and 100% of the money goes back to them!!! You even get to pay your own shipping to send back what you don't sell. :)  See....I feel a mission project for some you coming on!!!  :)

Here's my new stuff...and I bought "extras" to share with friends.  Yes friends...these are PAPER!!!!
So.....let me know what you what to buy......the necklace I have one is an extra long that you can double.  I think those are gone (from Alicia's stash). And those are 5 separate bracelets.  My Rainbow Lane friends said I couldn't wear just 4...so I added a fifth...to the ONE I started the day with! :)   Bracelets are $5 and some necklaces are $15 others $10.  Or better yet...have your own party..they send you the stuff...you have it right then...no ordering...sell what you can, pay to ship it back!!  100% goes back to Uganda!!!

Because of what these simple beads can offer a Ugandan woman...make no mistake about it (I THINK) that the phrase "bread of life" and "bead for life" are very close!!!       Blessing?! You betcha! :)

Day 32 Pudding for Pencils & Stuck in the Snow

Day 32

Amos 5: 4  "The Lord says this to the family (of Israel): "Seek me so you can live!"

Let's see....these first ones are from "homeschooling" yesterday since Dusty was off from school.  He wanted JJ to practice some things....letters and spelling his name.  So  Dusty said "let's play school."  JJ said, "I thought school was off today!!"  :)  So they did some Zoo Phonics flash cards and then we had pudding so Dusty did "handwriting" with them...then they played Batman for "PE" time.  ;)  We had fun...until we went to Papa Jerry's and got stuck in their driveway!!! We called them down at the house and told them we were stuck...they were able to go through the trailer sales lot and come from behind us to pull us out with a chain.  JJ thought it was AWESOME!!!!!!  "It's like we're a monster truck stuck in the mud and papa Jerry is a monster truck too pulling us out!"  He thought it was the best thing ever to happen!
