Day 30....Exodus 47: 4 "Again he measured a thousand and led me through the water, water reaching the knees!!"
Okay...it wasn't to the knees....but it took more than 4 towels to dry it up!! If I'd let them...they'd play in the water everyday.....little ducks I think they are!!!
This year I will be recording our life in pictures! Check here daily to find one picture (two if the kids are just too stinkin' cute!) about what we did that day that was "picture worthy." Hopefully I'll have a Scripture to go with each pic!!!

Day 30 Pudding !!
Not as exciting as yesterday....
but we did make chocolate pudding this afternoon. Yes...its afternoon time.
I realize the children are in PJ's but its what they wanted to wear for
"comfy clothes" after church this morning.
And yes....the pudding was sugar free!!! :)

Day 29 One (ADVENTURE) Leads to Another (ADVENTURE!)
Day 29
One adventure leads to another....
we started off with the kids just playing in the dog crate.
Then they wanted to be pulled like it was a sled.
So Dusty took a rope and tied it to the crate and then started to
pull them around the yard.
Well that was too much effort.
So we did what any sensible person would do....
got the GATOR out to do the work!!!
We pulled them each a few times...until we
about dumped them out of the crate.
More later!

Day 27 Sandhill
Day 27 Genesis 22:17 -- "I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore."
They love this pile of sand at their papa Jerry's. Dusty took pics. No real story expect that JJ in all seriousness, calls this "his work!" Ask him what he's been doing...."oh...just workin' this sandpile over here and haulin' stuff!"

Day 26 Mary, Mary Quite Contrary
Day 26--
Matthew 13:23 -- "But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty, or thirty times what was sown."
What better present for a future farmer than his own field and crops to watch grow??
Just for the record....nothing is growing yet. JJ's checked....a hundred times! :)

Great Sally gave this "ROOTVUE" to JJ for his birthday...mix the soil, plant the seeds, and watch the roots grow!!! Perfect!!! It even has a "shade" to cover up the roots so they'll think they are underground. The shade will come off so you can look and then put it down again.
Of course JJ's favorite part was making the dry cake like pods of soil...we mixed them with 2 quarts of warm water....we decided we need to help them dissolve! :)

Day 25 Rub a Dub Dub
So...it was the middle of the day! Who says baths have to be at bedtime??! Not me....get in the tub!! You're dirty and you can play in there all day if you want! :) And they did!! Not all day....but long enough to let the water go warm and their skin to grow wrinkles!! And long enough to pretty much use an entire can of FOAM!!! :) At least they are clean......
John 13:10 -- "Jesus answered, a person who has had a bath needs only to wash his feet; his whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you."
I love Scripture!!!! There's one for everyday...the point is finding God's Word in our daily life!!! It's there!!

Day 24 Winter Plowing
I told JJ that Papa John would call this part of the yard "the back 40." So he's plowing it...with the lid to the sandbox.
Hannalee watching from the warmth of the house! :)
Joel 3:10 "Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weakling say, "I am strong!"

Day 23 SOOOOOOOOOUEEEEEEY!
We went to the pig show today. There was dirt. JJ was happy. There were other kids to play with. Hannalee AND JJ were happy. The girls did good. Their parents were happy.
These are some of my nieces and their babies.....their pigs!!! They must love them. I just want to know from where the ham and bacon come!! :)
The judge told Taylor he liked her personality and that if there were any boys who were wanting to date her, they'd best be warned...she's likely to beat them off with a stick the same way she beat on her pig!! :) It was cute!
I never said the Scriptures would be of great insight but here's today:
Matthew 7:6 "Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to the pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces." :) LOL!!

Moon Rise and Big Girl Bed
Day 21....can you see the moon? It's just barely above the stop lights over downtown Elk City. It looked very cool last night!!!!
Day 22--we finally took Hannalee's bed apart and it is no longer a crib!!! YES...she's been climbing out of it for months...I mean MONTHS. I've finally realized where all the bruises on her legs came from!!! So we took the side off. Only because she would climb out in the middle of the night and DROP to the floor but then in the mornings she would YELL, "MOMMMIEEEEEEE COOOOMMEEE GEEETTTT MEEEEEE" over and over and over. Her daddy had had enough this morning! :) So the side came off!
So we might all be happy now!! Horses included!
I Corinthians 15:51-- "Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed." (Beds and diapers!! haha!!)

Day 20 Giddyup!
DAY 20
Yes...I know...I didn't post last night...JJ was sick. Very. And Dusty was running a close 2nd!!! So, the girls are all well and the boys are....on the mend!!! We hope!! I'm about sick again from the smell of Lysol and bleach!! Yick!! JJ just ate some toast...we'll see how that goes....
No snow here today.....school for everyone here!!! Some ice but not enough to shut us down. But we are staying home today.
This picture of Hannalee might not look too "picture worthy" for some...but to us!! WOW!!! She's 2 you know..well, 2 1/2 now and BUSY!!! Soo busy that she never sits still but just this month alone, she's learned to sit and play with toys!!! And she LOVES horses and babies. She has been playing by herself, not even with JJ, but by herself for almost an hour!!!!!! Seriously.....THAT is picture worthy!!! If you've had a 2 year old, double the "spunk" by 5 and you've got Hannalee!! :) When I was pregnant with her I was reading in the Bible about Elizabeth. There was description of her and it said, "she lived her life with zest!" And that is when God told me I was going to have a girl and to name her Elizabeth. So, here we have Hannalee Elizabeth!!!! And yes...she lives with ZEST...every minute!!! :)
But I just had to take a picture to document when it was that she first started playing by herself and with her toys. Isn't this precious!! : )

Shake Yo' Bootie!
Day 18
We had to go to Norman today to see Dusty's diabetes nutritionist. The kids stayed at mom and dad's. When we got home, Hannalee had been being entertained by her big cousin's iPad...with earphones and Lord who knows what music!! :) But Hannalee was shakin' her bootie!!! She had been having so much fun with it that Papa John said he'd just buy her her own iPad!! :) I'll remember that.... :)
Hannalee and my niece Taylor.

Sunset
Day 14 and 15
Here's today's shot!!! From my parents front yard!
Off to eat Chinese food....orange chicken!! YUMMOOOOO!! Soo glad I ran 5 miles so I can eat tonight!!!
Isaiah 45:3-6
I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places,so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name. For the sake of Jacob my servant, of Israel my chosen, I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honor, though you do not acknowledge me. I am the Lord, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me, so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting men may know there is none besides me. I am the Lord, and there is no other. I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the Lord, do all these things.

Rainbow Lane Bday Celebration
Day 12 -- JJ got to celebrate his birthday today at Rainbow Lane Preschool with his friends. He picked out BLUE icing sugar cookies!! Thanks to Miss Kristi for picking them up for us!!! Whew!!
Aiden & JJ's hug turned into a .....body hug??! :)
Make a wish!
We love you Sweet Boy!! You are our joy!!!

Sick Baby Girl
Day 11--a sick baby girl. She woke up hot and sick about 5am. She's resting and napping after eating Chex Mix and a little water and ice. That was at 9:00. Surely its staying down.
Hate to take a picture of her sick, but this is a sweet little picture of my princess....being still and quiet...only because she's asleep! :) THAT'S the real story! :)
Matthew 25:36--
"I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me."

Too Cold to Sit Down
Day 10
I told JJ he could go outside and play in the snow. His John Deere Gator was soo frozen, snowy, wet and cold that he couldn't even sit down.

Lunch is Supper
Day 9
Yes...you're reading it right...our lunch is now supper.
I put Taco Soup in the crockpot to be yummy ready after church....it wasn't. AND...we had even invited my in laws to come over and eat with us. I HATE having to call them and tell them lunch isn't ready. Because yes, I'm afraid I've had to do that before. But they would eat with us tonight....surely it will be ready then!!! :)
Cornbread won't be hot out of the oven, but we can pretend it is....
It will be super good for supper!! Hopefully!
Yes...it was dark when I started the crockpot...and it still wasn't finished! And no....no servant girls here. Just Hannalee! :)

New Puppies??
No...just the kids.
I went to the gym and came home and this is where the kids (plus cousin Coy who got to spend the night) were. Safely protected like new puppies in an old dog pen.
We've even used this to keep the basketball from rolling down the hill.
Dusty and them had been playing on the BIG EMPTY dirt lot next to us and they were having snacks here....Cheezits and water! :)

Hit the Road
So I got to go run again today--thanks Dusty for always taking the kids so I can go!!! Today, right at 3 miles...and this was my view!!!! I left from our house and took the "long" way to my in laws. They literally just live around the corner...but I took 3 corners and 3 miles to get there...in under 40 minutes. I am happy with that. So far this week.....a total of 15 miles!!! WOW!! Even I'm impressed...not that YOU have to be! ;)
Hebrews 12:1
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great CLOUD (!) of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles,
and let us run with perseverance the race set before us!
And the "road" yesterday...it started out as a ramp...but then was yes, a dirt path for the monster trucks. :)

Prayer Cards on the Fridge and What's This?
Day 6....since I almost forgot yesterday to blog....hence the toenails from the pedicure the day before (and yes...I added a Scripture with the toenail post...look in the comments section on yesterday's post).
I knew exactly what I was going to post today!
This is our bag of Christmas cards...you just THINK it looks like Valentine's Day...its not..its about LOVE!! We save all our Christmas cards every year and pull out 2-3 cards each month and pray for that family. All of our cards are in this bag. I send a note to the families that we are praying for them and tell them that we are laying their family at the feet of the Throne!
This is our fridge...I've got two Christmas cards on it for this month!! The other stuff I'll show you later...one is a "before" picture of me...10 years ago and one is an "after." Other stuff is OUR Christmas card and JJ's memory verse for Cubbies and his homework list for Rainbow Lane.

Oh yah!!! Cowboy Chaps!
This is what the kids did while I: got a massage, had lunch with my man, got a pedicure and ran 3 miles!! Thanks mom for staying with the kids!! I was so surprised to find pics on my camera when I got home. They always have a blast and look forward to seeing you! I don't know what any of us would do without our parents!
JJ is modeling his new cowboy chaps that he got from his Nana and Papa Jerry!! He was thrilled to open these up on his birthday--he said, "OH YAH!! Cowboy Chaps!" Thanks Nana!! Thanks Papa!!! They are "awesome" he says!
1 Timothy 5:8 -- "If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."
Both of our families GREATLY provide for us! We are beyond grateful!!!

Slick Boots and CHEEEEZE
It was a beautiful afternoon! Sunny and clear skies!
Cute pic of JJ swinging all by himself and going HIGH!
But also...notice the bottom of those WELL WORN slick boots...
no tread there!!
He'd sleep in them if we'd let him!! Seriously!
Hannalee says, "CHEEEEZE!"
What I don't have a picture of:
I told JJ to run upstairs and turn the lights off.
His response was:
"But mom, you said you'd still do things for me
even when I'm five!"

Happy 5th Birthday JJ!
Shew!! What a day!!!
A Happy 5th Birthday JJ cake!
A picture with his baby sister, Hannalee
Number 5 shaped cookies to look like a road and
"construction zone" yellow.
His face when he saw his Papa Jerry's BIG John Deere tractor instead of the Gator!!!!
WOW!!!!
Thank you Papa Jerry for a GREAT hayride!!!!!
Thank you Jeff for letting us ride on your property.....
Me with a few kids....all bundled up!!!!
No hayride is complete until you've been chased by cows....
And DONKEYS!!!! They wanted our hay!!!
And of course....sitting by the fire to warm up so we could eat
milk and cookies...open presents and play!
Mark 10:14 --
Jesus said to them, "Let the children come to me,
and do not hinder them,
for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
Happy Birthday Sweet Boy!
I love you more than you love dirt!!!
